Once again we are proud to be hosting this amazing series of events with the Minnesota History Center!

This time they’re invading our very popular Sci-Fi themed weekly Tuesday meetup JÄGERCON!

Here’s all the details from THE FACEBOOK INVITE :

MHS is taking over JagerCon—a weekly evening of science fiction, trivia and film—with a FREE special conversation about Minnesota science fiction.

Critically acclaimed actor and playwright Joseph Scrimshaw will read excerpts from recent work and the Minnesota Historical Society’s book curator Patrick Coleman will explore the life and work of renowned mid-century author Clifford Simak. Mayda Miller provides music for the evening which will conclude with a special screening of “The Duplicate Man,” a 1964 episode of the “The Outer Limits,” based on Clifford Simak’s story, “Goodnight, Mr. James.”

This evening event features two of the Twin Cities’ best bartenders, Johnny Michaels of La Belle Vie and Pip Hanson of Marvel Bar. The two will demonstrate a few drinks, share their thoughts on classic and modern cocktails and throw in a few tidbits on the cocktail in American history. Johnny will also be available to sign copies of his new book with the Minnesota Historical Society Press, “Northstar Cocktails.” Sip a cocktail inspired by the evening’s recipes and test your smarts as Ian Rans rounds out the night with a spcial version of his $50 Pyramid: Beer vs. Cocktails with Michael Agnew & Nick Kosevich.
